A working wooden shipyard museum, which also is one of Amsterdam's oldest shipyards. A large collection of ship-engines is on display.

The Dutch History gallery exhibits several ship models, among them the large scale model of the VOC-ship Prins Willem of 1651. There is also a large collection of Dutch naval models from the 17th to 19th century in the reserve collection. These will eventually be displayed in a separate gallery.
The Coat-of-Arms from the stern of the English warship Royal Charles captured at the Dutch raid on Medway in June 1667 is on display together with the stern laterns.
The famous Dutch marine painters are also well represented both in the Dutch History gallery and other galleries.
