- Philadelphia (1776), sailing gunboat.
The well preserved remains of first warship built in what would become the
United States of America are displayed in the Hall of Armed Forces History[?].
The gunboat Philadelphia was operated by Army, as Navy was not yet
formed at that date.
Salvaged from the bottom of Lake Champlain by Lorenzo Hagglund in 1934 and 1935.
Ship models are on display in the Hall of
American Maritime Enterprise, the Technology building and the Air and Space Museum.
