THE STAFFORDSHIRE, — The splendid clipper packet ship Staffordshire, Captain Albert H. Brown (of Train & Co.'s line), arrived at this port on the morning of Christmas, after a rapid run 14 days! She sailed in company with the steamship Asia, and kept side by side with her for four hours, until she headed for Halifax. We give below a copy of her log, which shows that she was off Tuskar in 12 days, and would have made he shortest passage on record, of a sailing ship, had she not met the easterly wind in the channel. Among the passengers is Mrs. Phipps (the accomplished daughter of Col. Enoch Train, the enterprising owner of the Boston line of packets), who, with her husband, is on the way to the Continent for a bridal tour. -- Liverpool Times.
