A fullrigged wooden clipper ship built in 1861 by Robert Steele & Co., Greenock. Her dimensions were 174'5"×29'8"×19'3" and tonnage: 629 GRT, 629 NRT and 595 tons udner deck. Equipped with iron beams.

Later rigged as a barque according to Lloyd's Register of Shipping 1879-80.

Launched at the shipyard of Robert Steele & Co., Greenock, for Captain Alexander Rodger & Co., Glasgow. Assigned the Official British No. 43683 and signal TQBF. Employed in the China tea trade.
