A clipper ship built in 1847 by Brown & Bell, New York. Dimensions 173'×34'6"×19'11" and tonnage: 957 tons OM and 752 tons NM.

1847: Launched at the shipyard of Brown & Bell, New York, for A.A. Low & Brother, New York. Intended for the China trade. Captain N.B. Palmer who supervised the building of the new ship was give command.
1847 September 14 -: Sailed from New York to Hong Kong in 114 days.
1848: Sailed from Whampoa to New York in 83 days.
1848: Captain Theodore D. Palmer replaced his brother as master of the ship.
1850 January 15 - May 6: Sailed from New York to San Francisco in 109 days.
1850 October 29: Sailed from Whampoa to New York in 89 days.
1850: Capt. Limeburner, former mate of the Samuel Russell succeeded Capt. Low who was transferred to the same owner's new clipper N.B. Palmer.
1852 - December 9: Sailed from New York to San Francisco in 118 days.
1853 April 10: Sailed from Whampoa to New York in 103 days.
1853 October 5 - April 10: Sailed from New York to San Francisco in 106 days.
1854 August - December 7: Sailed from Foo Chow to New York in 105 days.
1855 - June 13: Sailed from New York to San Francisco in 116 days.
1857: Sailed from New York to Hong Kong in 96 days.
1857: Sailed from Foo Chow to New York in 121 days.
1858: Sailed from New York to Hong Kong in 101 days.
1858: Sailed from Foo Chow to New York in 95 days.
1858: Sailed from Foo Chow to New York in 95 days.
1861: Sailed from Hong Kong to New York in 94 days.
1863: Sailed from Foo Chow to New York in 89 days.
1870 November 23: Wrecked on a reef in the Gaspar Straits. The wreck was subsequently sold for $370 and the cargo for $1800.
