Argonaut
An iron fullrigged ship built in 1876 by Barclay, Curle & Co., Glasgow.
Dimensions: 254'4"×38'6"×23'2" and tonnage: 1563 GRT, 1488 NRT and 1431 tons under deck.
Originally rigged with a main skysail and double topgallant sails on the mainmast, while the fore and mizzen masts were rigged with royals and single topgallant sails.

- Launched at the shipyard of Barclay, Curle & Co., Glasgow, for A. & J.H. Charmichael & Co's "Golden Fleece Line", Greenock. Assigned the official British Reg. No. 72412 and signal PQRC. Employed in the Australian wool trade. Captain A. Cook.
