Clan Macfarlane
An iron full-rigged ship built in 1881 by Russell & Co., Greenock, as yard no. 35.
Dimensions: 249'1"×38'3"×22'8" and tonnage: 1588 GRT, 1446 NRT and 2400 DWT.
- 1881
- Launched at the shipyard of Russell & Co., Greenock, for Clan Line (Thomas Dunlop & Sons), Glasgow. Assigned the official British Registration No. 84317 and signal VRDF.
- 1885
- Sailed from Calcutta to San Francisco in 119 days.
- 1893
- Sailed from New York to Batavia in 83 days.
- 1902 August 11
- Sold to Rederi AB Standard (Ernst Roberg), Gothenburg, for £ 6800.
- 1907 August 2 - January 15
- Sailed from Tyne to San Francisco in 153 days.
- 1910 October
- Sold to Laiva Oy Sampo (V.A. Mäkelä), Viborg.
The Finnish measurements were 1484 GRT and 1446 NRT.
- 1913 June 3
- Sailed from Port Natal for Port de France but was dismasted during a severe gale. Another source say that she was on voyage from New Caledonia to Hamburg with a cargo of nickel ore.
- 1913 August 23
- Arrived to Auckland under tow. Was condemned and sold to be converted to a coal barge. It has been said that she was renamed Pey Beriand and was stationed at Noumea.
- 1934 March 27
- Foundered during a typhoon.
