Runnymeade

An iron barque built in 1869 by W. Pile & Co., Sunderland, as yard no. 176. Dimensions: 197'4"×30'1"×18'0" and tonnage: 741 GRT, 670 NRT, 1100 DWT and .... tons under deck.

1869: Launched at the shipyard of W. Pile & Co., Sunderland, for James Alexander & Co., London. Assigned the official British Reg. No. 60940 and signal ..... Employed in the Australian emmigrant trade.
1878: Sold to Redfern, Alexander & Co., London.
1886: Sold to H. Joyau, Nantes, France.
1897: Sold to Cazer, Nantes.
1900 November: Sold to Carl Magnus Bodén, Norrköping, for DEM 55.000 and was renamed Norrköping. Assigned the official Swedish Reg. No. 3756 and signal JLRS. Captain Carl Petter Mattsson, Öregrund.
1908 January 13: Sailed from Port of Spain with a cargo of asphalt for Hamburg.
1908 January 25: The mainmast was sprung in a squall and went by the board on the 27th. The crew abandoned the ship and was picked up by the American schooner Fred A. Small. Later the mate and nine men from the British steamer boarded the Norrköping and managed to bring her to Bermuda with only the foremast standing.
1908 July: Rigged off and used as a hulk.

The hull is said to still exist at Bermuda.
