Thessalus
An iron fullrigged ship built in 1874 by Barclay, Curle & Co., Glasgow, as yard no. 245.
Dimensions: 269'0"×41'1"×23'6" and tonnage: 1865 GRT, 1782 NRT and 1709 tons under deck.

- Launched at the shipyard of Barclay, Curle & Co., Glasgow, for the "Golden Fleece Line" (A. & J. Carmichael), Greenock. Assigned the official British Reg. No. 67941 and signal NHFB. Employed in the Indian trade.

- LR 1879-80: Master: Captain E.C. Bennett.
- 1898 May 7
- Sold to Rederi AB Standard (Ernst Roberg), Gothenburg, for £ 4750. Assigned the official Swedish Reg. No. 3224 and signal JHSB. The new measurements were 80,10×12,46×7,17 meters and 1865 GRT, 1711 NRT and 2650 DWT.
Captain Westerberg was given command of the ship.
