Joined the Grand Fleet in Scapa Flow at the United States entry into World War I.

Re-built at the Norfolk Navy Yard where anti-torpedo bulges were fitted. Oilfired boilers were installed and one funnel removed.
1948
Decommissioned and transferred to the State of Texas, Battleship Texas Commission and serves presently as a museum ship at San Jacinto, TX.
