Jylland
A 44-gun wooden steam-frigate built in 1860 by the Nyholms Skibsverft, Copenhagen, for the Danish Royal Navy.
Dimensions: 64,11×13,11×6,0(d) meters [210'33×43'0×19'67] and with a displacement of 2450 tons. Equipped with a two-cylinder steam-engine of 400 nhp designed by William Wain and built by Baumgarten & Burmeister.

- The 12×30 pound guns on the deck were replaced with 8×18 pound guns and 4×12 pound guns.
- 1864 May 9
- Participated in the Battle of Helgoland where a Danish squadron consisting of the frigates Niels Iuel and Jylland and the screw-corvette Heimdal defeated a joint
Austrian-Preussian squadron consisting of the frigates Schwarzenberg and Radetzky and the steam gun-boats Adler, Basilisk and Blitz.

- Made her last West Indian expedition.

- Taken out of active duty.

- Rigged off, the engine taken out and altered into an exercice and accomodation ship.
- 1908
- Struck from the Navy list and sold at an auction to a German ship breaker, but bought back by the Danish government.
- 1912
- Sold to E. Schou, Palsgård, and moved to the Juelsminde Bay.
- 1925
- Sold back to the Navy at the death of E. Schou.
- 1936-1950
- Used as an accommodation ship for schoolchildren visiting the capital. During the German occupation used for accomodation of German military personell.
- 1939
- Partly rigged.
- 1960
- Brought to Ebeltoft.
- 1984 August 11
- Put permanently in a dry-dock where she will be restored.
Today preserved in a dry-dock at Ebeltoft.

Armament
The original armament was 30 muzzle loading 30 pd guns of 50 ct on the gun
deck and 14 muzzle loading 30 pd guns of 40 ct on the upper deck. In
addition she carried one 18 pd carronade of British origin and another 12
pd carronade and also eight 4 pd howitzers. The 30 pd guns, which were all
of the Michelsen pattern, were made by Åkers Styckebruk and Stafsjö Bruk in
Sweden. The two carronades as well as the howitzers were primarily intended
to be used on the boats.
