Pampanito
A Balao-type submarine built in 1943 at the US Navy Yard, Portsmouth, NH for the US Navy.
Dimensions: 94,95×8,31×4,65 m [311'50×27'25×12'25] and displacement 1526 tons.

- Launched at the US Navy Yard, Portsmouth, NH.
- 1943 November 6
- Commissioned.
- 1944 Setptember 12
- Participated together with the submarines Growler and the Sealion in an attack on a Japanese convoy of merchant ships of which the Pampanito sank the Kachidoki Maru with two torpedoes.
- 1944 September 15
- Rescued 73 British and Australian Prisoner's-of-War which came from the ships which had been sunk three days earlier.

- De-commissioned.

- Presented to the National Maritime Museum Association and subsequently re-furbished at Stockton.
- 1981 March
- Opened as a museum ship at Fisherman's Warf, Pier 45, San Francisco, where she presently [1995] remains.
The Pampanito sank five Japanese ships totalling 27.332 tons during five months.
