Alexandre

A four-masted steel barque built in 1902 by Chantiers de France, Dunkerque. Dimensions 96,01×13,71×7,33 meters [315'0"×45'0"×24'1"] and tonnage 3205 GRT and 2419 NRT. Rigged with nothing over double top- and topgallant sails.

Launched at the shipyard of Chantiers de France, Dunkerque, for Ant. Dom. Bordes et fils, Dunkerque. Captain J.B. Forgeard père.

Sailed from Iquique to Dunkerque in 79 days.
1903 November 21
Lost at sea after the breakage of the cable some 20 miles off Whitby during towage between Dunkerque and Tyne. Captain Maurin and the entire crew was lost.
