Cluny Castle
A four-masted iron ship built in 1883 by Barclay, Curle & Co., Glasgow.
Dimensions 84,24×12,54×7,31 meters
[276'5"×41'2"×24'0"] and tonnage 1986 GRT and 1934 NRT.
Rigged in jubilee fashion i.e. with nothing above double top- and topgallant sails.
Sistership to Hendry, Ferguson & Co's fourmasted ship Ulrica (1884).
- 1883 November
- Launched at the shipyard of Barclay, Curle & Co.,
Glasgow, for D. Currie & Co., London. The first master was Captain J.
Hamilton. Used in the Australian emigrant trade.

- Sold to Ferguson & Letham, Greenock, and was renamed
Rowena.
- 1897
- Sold to James Rae, Greenock. Rerigged as a "baldheaded"
fourmasted barque.
- 1901
- Sold to R. Ferguson & Co., Greenock.
- 1905
- Sold to
William Thomas & Co., Liverpool.
- 1914
- Sold to G. Stenius, Helsingfors, Finland, for £
4500. Captain V.E Erikson.
- 1915 February
- Came to Barbados after having lost the rigging
during a voyage from Gulfport to Montevideo. Was eventually towed to Mobile,
Alabama, where she was re-rigged as a "baldheaded" formasted barque.

- Sold to V. Sundmann, Helsingfors.
- 1919
- Sold to Rederi AB Finlandecia, Helsingfors. Captain Karl
Eklund.
- 1920
- Laid up.
- 1921
- Sold to J.F.Gadd, Åbo, who also served as master.
- 1922
- Hulked in Adelaide.
