Dunkerque

A four-masted steel barque built in 1896 by Laporte & Co., Rouen. Dimensions: 99,86x13,86x7,74 meters [327'8"x45'6"x25'5"] and tonnage: 3338 GRT and 2498 NRT.

Rigged with royal sails over double top and topgallant sails. Sistership to the oil carrier Quevilly (1897).

1896 August 11
Launched at the shipyard of Laporte & Co., Rouen. Was delivered in February 1897 to Ant. Dom. Bordes et fils, Dunkerque. Used in the Chilean nitrate trade. Captain F. Martin was the first master of the vessel.
1924
Sold to Savona, Italy, for breaking up. The final voyage was from Swansea under tow to Italy with a cargo of coal.
