A four-masted steel barque built in 1896 by Laporte & Co., Rouen. Dimensions: 99,86x13,86x7,74 meters [327'8"x45'6"x25'5"] and tonnage: 3338 GRT and 2498 NRT.
Rigged with royal sails over double top and topgallant sails. Sistership to the oil carrier Quevilly (1897).
