Euterpe
A four-masted steel barque built in 1884 by Barrow Shipbuilding Co. Ltd, Barrow-in-Furness.
Dimensions: 88,56×12,97×7,23 meters [290'7"×42'7"×23'9"] and tonnage: 2129 GRT and 2052 NRT.
Rigged with royal sails over double top and topgallant sails.

- Launched at the shipyard of Barrow Shipbuilding Co. Ltd, Barrow-in-Furness, for
B. Wencke Söhne, Hamburg. Captain F.C. Bramslöw.
- 1902 September 6
- Left Port Talbot, Cardiff, for Pisagua with a cargo of 3000 tons coal.
- 1902 September 8
- The cargo of coal exploded some 50 miles WNW off Lizard Point and ripped up the maindeck and killed people of the starboard watch.
The survivors were saved by the steamer Rydallhall.
