Glencaird

A four-masted steel barque built in 1889 by Russell & Co., Port Glasgow. Dimensions 95,29×12,71×7,43 meters [312'8"×41'9"×24'5"] and tonnage 2523 GRT 2418 NRT. Rigged with royal sails over double top and top-gallant sails. Sistership to Cairniehill and Sir Robert Fernie.

1889 April
Launched at the shipyard of Russell & Co., Port Glasgow, for W.T. Dixon & Sons, Liverpool. The first master was Captain J. Ward.
1893
Sold to C.W. Corsar, Liverpool.
1901 October
Stranded at Port Margaret, Staten Island, when entering the Le Maire Straits.
