A four-masted steel barque built in 1891 by Scott & Co., Greenock at a cost of $ 150.000.
Dimensions: 85,79×12,87×7,41 meters [281'6"×42'3"×24'4"], and tonnage: 2251 GRT and 2136 NRT.

1891 December 7: Launched at the shipyard of Scott & Co., Greenock, for Briggs, Harvie & Co. (Francis Briggs), Glasgow.
1892 January: Delivered to the owners.
1893 June: Left Birkenhead, Great Britain, for San Francisco with a cargo of coal.
1893 November 18: Smoke was discovered coming from the coal.
1893 November 22: Towed by the steam schonner Caspar to the Cojo Anchorage, 1,5 mile east of Point Conception, CA, where she anchored.
1893 November 24: Sank in six fathoms of water.
