Lady Wentworth
A four-masted steel barque built in 1896 by Scott & Co., Greenock.
Dimensions: 90,08×13,80×7,79 meters [295'7"×45'6"×25'7"] and tonnage: 2715 GRT and 2552 NRT.
Rigged in jubilee fashion i.e. nothing over double top and topgallant sails.
- 1896 June
- Launched at the shipyard of Scott & Co., Greenock, for Adam, Hamilton & Co., Greenock. Mainly used in the South American nitrate trade. Captain Archibald Murchie.
- 1908
- Collided with an iceberg at 50°05'S, 49°05'W and was severely damaged and had to go to Montevideo under juryrig.
- 1911
- Sold to H. Fölsch & Co., Hamburg, and was renamed Woglinde. Captain J. Hansen.
- 1914
- Interned in Valparaiso.
- 1919 July 12-13
- Received severe rig-damage during a Northerly.
- 1920
- Reduced to a hulk.
- 1930
- Broken up.
