Lord Ripon

A four-masted steel barque built in 1892 by Grangemouth Dockyard Co., Alloa. Dimensions: 96,92×13,15×7,43 meters [318'0"×43'2"×24'5"] and tonnage: 2765 GRT and 2627 NRT.

Rigged with double top and topgallant sails, royals and skysails.

Sailed from Barry to Rio de Janeiro in 93 days.

Sold to Rhederei Visurgis AG, Bremen, and was renamed Nal.

Interned at Caleta Coloso for the duration of the war.

Delivered to French Government as war damage compensation.

Sold to England for £2500.

Sold to Baltische & Weissmeer Schiffahrt GmbH, Danzig.

Sprang a leak and was abandoned off Cape Horn.
