Montmorency

A four-masted steel barque built in 1896 by Chantiers de la Loire, Nantes. Dimensions 97,86×13,71×7,74 meters [321'1"×45'0"×25'5"] and tonnage 3011 GRT and 2376 NRT. Rigged with double top- and topgallant sails.

1896 March 16: Launched at the shipyard of Ateliers et Chantiers de la Loire, Nantes, for Ant. Dom. Bordes et fils, Dunkerque.
1896: Sailed from St. Nazaire to Iquique in 65 days under command of Capt. L. Gosselin.
1899: Sailed from Prawle Point to Valparaiso in 72 days.
1903 November 12 — January 24: Sailed from Iquique to Hamburg in 73 days.
1918: Sold to Compagnie Française d'Armement et d'Importation de Nitrate e Soude, Dunkerque.
1923 December 18: Sailed from Iquique to Lizard for orders in 100 days.
1924 October 10: Sailed from Caleta Coloso to Nantes in 106 days and was laid up at the arrival.
1926: Broken up.
