Montmorency

A four-masted steel barque built in 1896 by Chantiers de la Loire, Nantes. Dimensions 97,86×13,71×7,74 meters [321'1"×45'0"×25'5"] and tonnage 3011 GRT and 2376 NRT. Rigged with double top- and topgallant sails.

Sailed from St. Nazaire to Iquique in 65 days under command of Capt. L. Gosselin.

Sailed from Prawle Point to Valparaiso in 72 days.

Sailed from Iquique to Hamburg in 73 days.

Sold to Compagnie Française d'Armement et d'Importation de Nitrate e Soude, Dunkerque.

Sailed from Iquique to Lizard for orders in 100 days.

Sailed from Caleta Coloso to Nantes in 106 days and was laid up at the arrival.
