Springbank

A four-masted steel barque built in 1894 by Russell & Co., Port Glasgow. Dimensions: 86,05×13,10×7,41 meters [282'4"×43'0"×24'4"] and tonnage: 2398 GRT and 2235 NRT.

Rigged in jubilee fashion, i.e. with nothing above double top and topgallant sails.

1894 September: Launched at the shipyard of Russell & Co., Port Glasgow, for A. Weir & Co., Glasgow. Captain D. McGirr. Used in the South American nitrate trade.
1913 August: Sold to A/S Olivebank (E. Monsen & Co.), Tvededstrand, Norway.
1915 March 5: Passed the Panama Canal as the first eastbound sailing ship on voyage from San Francisco to Denmark.
1916: Sold to Thv. B. Heistein & Sønner, Kristiansand, Norway.
1917 January: Renamed Asrym.
1919 June: Sold A/S Odderø (A.I. Langfeldt & Co.), Kristiansand, Norway.
1920 October 4: Received damaged in the North Sea on voyage from Norfolk, VA, to Ålborg with a cargo of coal and was towed to Stavanger where she was condemmed.
1920: Sold to Hamburg where the ship was reduced to a coal barge and was renamed Mimi.
