Launched at the shipyard of Whitehaven Shipbuilding Co., Whitehaven, for J. Herron & Co., Liverpool.

Renamed Lord Roseberry.
1900 June 18
Sold to Knöhr & Burchard, Hamburg, and renamed Reinbek.
1914
Interned at Santa Rosalia, Mexico.
1920
Handed over to France as war damage compensation.
1922
Sold to Robert Dollar Co., San Francisco.
1929
Broken up in San Francisco.
